ABOUT CYPSA

The Cyprus Psychologists’ Association (CYPSA) is a scientific and professional organization founded in 1980. Originally, its purpose was to promote the profession and science of psychology and to look after the interests of all psychologists in Cyprus. Since 2017, CYPSA has redefined its vision and mission to broaden its scope.

Our renewed vision is to develop, safeguard, and promote psychological science in Cyprus. Our mission is the development and promotion of psychological scientific knowledge within the professional world and the greater public of Cyprus; the education of the public on topics pertaining to psychology; and the promotion and safeguard of the psychologist profession. The Association functions as a communication forum for psychologists both in practice and in academia, as well as between psychology and society.

CYPSA has been a Member Association of the European Federation of Psychologists’ Associations (EFPA) since 1995, and of the European Federation of Psychology Students’ Associations (EFPSA) since 2007.
