SUSTAINABILITY AT ECP 2025
In keeping with EFPA’s sustainability policy, we’re committed to running an event that has sustainability at its heart.
Venue and location
This will include minimizing to eliminating use of single-use plastics where possible during the event, implementing recycling practices during and at the end of the congress, implementing energy-efficiency policies, providing an electronic programme, limiting printed materials and favouring digital communication. In addition, the venue’s environmental policy and commitment to sustainability can be found here.
We’re encouraging all delegates to consider their travel to Paphos, including choosing airlines which offset their carbon emissions. We encourage use of public transport to move around the host city, as well as the entire island, in the most ecofriendly way. To support sustainable options, all relevant information has been included in the respective sections of the ECP 2025 website.
We will also supply all delegates with a water bottle to use by offering free clean water through water refill stations located around the congress area.
Participation
We firmly support in providing opportunities to get together, network, and share experiences, knowledge, and insights. We will do everything we can to mitigate the environmental impact of hosting an in-person event.
We prioritise accessibility for all through reduced fees, especially for resource-limited economies.
We commit to diversity, equality and inclusion, promoting respect for individuals of diverse ethnicities, genders, religion, sexual orientation or opinions. Our programme has been designed keeping these principles in mind.
